Introducing Michael Macri, renowned singer/songwriter of the Australian popular music scene.
Hailing from Brunswick, Victoria, his songs are classic rock/pop songs which cross a number of genres, from classic ballads to rock alternative.
His music has been influenced by the music melting pot of the late 60’s through to 70’s heavy metal, glam, dance and 80’s new romantics. Other influences include the American East and West coast sounds of the 70’s and 80’s.
His distinctive voice captures the best of these influences and transforms them into his own unique style. For over 30 years he has been generating a loyal following of dedicated music lovers.
You can listen to his life's work from this site or through youtube and spotify.
Michael records and performs original music which distills the essence of Melbourne's diverse lifestyle. His song about the Melbourne Gangland wars, “I can’t drink with you has been highly acclaimed world wide.
Currently he has been concentrating on a new direction that attempts to define the Matrix of Music, the original form, the now stucture and future shape.
1: A matrix can be something from within or a place where something originates, grows, develops, or takes form.
2: A matrix can be a female animal kept for breeding or a mother plant whose seeds are used for propagating other plants.
3: Mathematicians use it for the rectangular organization of numbers or symbols that can be used to make real calculations.
4: Geologists use it for the soil or rock in which fossils and gems are embedded.
5: The Matrix is a virtual-reality in which all humans exist but are unaware of this. Much like the science-fiction film of the same name about simulated existences.
Welcome to the wonderful chaotic world of Michael Macri Music Matrix.
